Lookings is a small, invite-only wishlist and price tracker. This is what it keeps and why.

What we store

Your account: email, username, display name and a hashed password.
What you save: product links, titles, images, prices, notes, baskets and price history.
Sign-in sessions and extension tokens, so you stay logged in.
Basket invitations you send or receive.
Problem reports you send: the page address, your note, technical details and, if you tick it, a light copy of the page (no scripts or text you typed).
A simple record of each save — item name, price, shop and link — used for service statistics.

How it's used

To show your items and check their prices. Lookings visits the shop pages you saved to read the current price.
The browser extension reads a page only when you click save or report, and — if you turn on price refresh — the price on pages from shops you've saved from. It doesn't collect your browsing history.
Only what you choose to share is visible to others: public baskets, and shared baskets to their members.
No ads, no tracking, no analytics services, and nothing is sold. The only cookie is your login session.

Prices

Lookings shows the price the shop charges in the currency you saved the item in, checked about once a day, and every change to it since you saved.
Some shops convert their prices from another currency at their own exchange rate, so a price can also move a little when that rate changes.
Always check the price on the shop's site before you buy.

How long

Your data stays until you delete it or your account.
Images uploaded to “find elsewhere” are deleted within 24 hours.
Page copies attached to problem reports are deleted after 90 days.
Backups are kept for up to 14 days.

Deleting your data

Settings → delete account removes your account, items, baskets, public pages and tokens straight away. Problem reports and the record of saves stay, but are no longer linked to you. Copies in backups expire within 14 days. Questions: ask the person who invited you.
